THE BIGGER PICTURE
The INEOS group reportedly does not want to repeat the club's past mistakes in the transfer market and is instead banking on the current lot of players to improve in a new environment and new system under Amorim. The owners are hoping that strikers like Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, who have failed to live up to the expectations, will greatly benefit from the new coach's ideas and improve their performances.

The report further adds that the Red Devils have incurred a cumulative loss of £313 million ($395m) before taxes in the last three seasons and, as a result, are under immense pressure to comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.
